Firing Squad Reviews RO: Ost 41-45

The Firing Squad posted a late but well thought out review of Red Orchestra. It’s interesting how many reviews end up comparing RO to BF2 and this review is no exception. They give RO a 75%, which is a little low in my opinion, however they do recgonize where it beats games like […]

Tripwire announced the release of a beta patch that must be launched from the command line to run. The beta patch is compatible with all standard clients and servers. Tactical Gamer’s xTYBALTx Reviews RO

xTYBALTx over at Tactical Gamer has posted a review of Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. He criticizes RO on several points for not being on a current generation engine, and overall has some issues with the TR gameplay. FiringSquad: Even more attention is being made over Valve’s Steam service. Has Valve been surprised by the amount of interest in using Steam to distribute games?
Doug Lombardi: What’s been surprising is how successful Steam […]

Normandy: an RO Modification

Not surprising that the first modification for a WW2 game set in the Eastern Front is going to cover the Western Front. Don’t get too excited though, this modification is in the planning phases. The question now is, which will finish first (if at all) - Resistance and Liberation or Normandy?

RO:Ost 41 - 45 at Best Buy Wednesday

I called Best Buy stores in Seattle, Chicago and on the East Coast and all of them confirmed that they will get the game on their shelves tomorrow, Wednesday. The bad news is that quantities seem light — each one of the stores I talked to was getting no more than eight copies! […]
